AMBER FUENTEALBA
Hello! My name is Amber & I am an urban Indigenous woman with Cree and settler roots from Saskatoon SK. My community is Muskoday First Nation here in Saskatchewan.
I am a registered Social Worker, with a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from First Nations University, as well as a Master of Social Work from University of Regina.
My focus of study was perinatal women's mental health as well as supporting Indigenous women’s mental health and wellness.
I have recently returned to Saskatoon from Kingston Ontario, where I worked as a Counsellor for Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre (4D) at Queens University. Prior to that, post masters, I worked in Calgary AB as a grief counsellor for AHS’s women's health team where I supported patients who experienced pregnancy loss; as well I served on the Critical Incident Response Team to support staff through incident debriefing.
I like to spend my free time with my children or relaxing with a good cup of coffee. I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey here at Anderson Dupuis Wellness.
