“Nothing I do is ever good enough.”
“You forgot the milk.”
“Did I pay that bill?”
“I can’t find my keys.”
“The paper isn’t due til Friday. I have time.”
“It’s been four hours, how can you still be playing that game?”
Sound familiar?
If you’ve thought or heard these things, you’ve likely felt frustration, anxiety, or self-doubt.
Whether or not you have an ADHD diagnosis, don’t let that stop you from seeking support. ADHD doesn’t create new struggles—it amplifies common ones. We all misplace things or feel we’ve fallen short sometimes. For those with ADHD, these moments happen more often, last longer, and affect many areas of life.
We’re here to help—diagnosis or not. Whether you’re building better habits, learning self-compassion, or just trying to “do better at doing,” support is available.
Enter, ADHD-informed therapy…
It is not about knowing what to do, it is about doing what you know!
What is it?
ADHD-informed counselling integrates the goal-oriented approach of coaching with the structured and explorative nature of therapeutic counselling. Within this framework, ADHD is understood as a trait rather than an inherent deficit, focusing on applying knowledge, initiating action, and executing intentions effectively. This counselling approach aims to turn challenges into opportunities by exploring an individual's history, needs, current circumstances, and future goals in a client-centered and confidential manner.
Behavioural changes are supported through strategies that enhance one's ability to manage their life more effectively. In essence, we will work with evidence-based counselling approaches (CBT, DBT) to mitigate and reduce functional challenges associated with ADHD. It’s less about attention, more about intention!

What to Expect
Clients can look forward to a client-centered, empathetic space for rethinking ADHD, moving beyond pharmacological supports, and implementing clinical strategies tailored for all ages (children, adolescents, adults). Specialized supports for relationships/partnerships involving one or both partners having ADHD or co-occurring conditions such as addiction are also provided.
Drawing on her expertise in ADHD, executive functioning, CBT, DBT, and co-occurring disorders, she provides comprehensive, adaptive interventions designed to meet each client’s goals.
The counselling process includes evaluating the effectiveness of each strategy and making necessary adjustments to help clients achieve their goals.
What it is not
This type of counselling is not meant to be a substitute for formal assessment and diagnosis of ADHD or other related conditions. Diagnosis and the prescription of medication(s) would still need to be obtained through qualified professionals. However, ADHD-informed counselling may provide support in terms of understanding one’s rights and the practical benefits of a diagnosis, as well as guidance in weighing the pros and cons of medication(s) as part of their overall treatment planning.
Therapy Process
The process begins with an initial discussion to determine whether ADHD-informed therapy is suitable for you and how it may benefit you. Together, we will develop an understanding of how ADHD affects your life, establish and execute a plan, and monitor progress towards achieving your goals. New and returning clients are welcome to explore this possibility. If you are a returning/active client, simply indicate your interest in this approach at the time of next booking, either online or with one of our wonderful Reception Team!
Session Format and Duration
Sessions are ideally held in person, but phone and video options are also available. Weekly sessions are recommended to provide structure, accountability, and support. Unlike a coaching model with shorter check-ins, therapy sessions are typically longer and more in-depth. Sustainable change often takes 8–12 sessions over 2–3 months, though this can vary based on your goals. As a starting point, if ADHD-specific therapy feels like a good fit, a minimum commitment of four sessions is encouraged.
Areas of Focus
ADHD-informed counselling can assist in:

ADHD-informed therapy supports skill-building in areas that may seem simple on their own but, when developed together, can lead to meaningful, interconnected improvements across work, relationships, school, and overall well-being. At the core of this approach is the belief that honest self-reflection, combined with intentional effort, leads to real, lasting change.
