RACHEL TANG
MASTER OF ARTS IN COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY
CCC, CCPA #11241671
Welcome — I'm Rachel, and I'm glad you're here.
From a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding and supporting others. That deep-rooted desire naturally led me to the field of psychology, where I continue to find meaning in walking alongside people on their path to healing and growth.
With over a decade of experience supporting hundreds of social and behavioral research studies at the University of Saskatchewan, and a strong academic background in psychology and counselling, I now bring that same passion and care into my counselling practice.

My approach is warm, human-centered, and tailored to you. Grounded in compassion, I draw from trauma-informed, culturally aware, strengths-based, and justice-oriented perspectives. While I may incorporate evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, or Motivational Enhancement, I deeply believe that you already carry the insight and strength needed for change. My role is to help you access and amplify what’s already within you.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to shift, I’m here to walk with you through it.
If you’re considering counselling, I invite you to reach out. Let’s talk about how I can support you.
I prioritize creating a non-judgmental, safe, and accepting space—one where you feel seen, heard, and supported at every step, no matter where you're starting from.
Throughout my counselling journey, I’ve supported clients of all ages and backgrounds with a range of concerns, including:
-
Trauma & PTSD
-
Anxiety & Depression
-
Substance use & co-occurring challenges
-
Grief & loss
-
ADHD
-
Chronic illness
-
Sleep concerns
-
Relationship & communication issues
-
Self-harm, suicidal ideation, and distress tolerance
